What is the reason for the hardware replacement?

To ensure full functionality of the Vimcar Logbook and Vimcar Fleet Geo, your current hardware – the Vimcar Dongle or Vimcar Box – will be replaced with a new, more powerful model.

Why is the replacement necessary?

Shutdown of the 2G network: The 2G mobile network, which your current hardware relies on, will soon be shut down in Germany. Without this connection, trip data can no longer be transmitted, and your Vimcar (web) app will no longer be usable.

Once the hardware is replaced, you will be able to use all functions of the Vimcar (web) app as usual and without restrictions.

Update Your Shipping Address

If you have not done so already, please use the form on this page to provide your current shipping address so we can send you the new hardware.

Free Shipping & Easy Replacement

Vimcar will cover all shipping costs for the new hardware.

Once received, you can assign the hardware to your vehicles and register it in the Vimcar (web) app.

Return the Old Hardware

Send the old hardware back to Vimcar free of charge. By doing so, you help us recycle the materials responsibly.

Important Information

The hardware must be replaced promptly to ensure continued use of the Vimcar (web) app.
